Encompass Essentials – The DocFixer

This tool allows you to download large documents that are hanging the system or timing out without downloading in just a few simple steps.

Download the Files Using the Retrieve Command

- Open the Loan File to the eFolder, and click the Retrieve button to

choose the files you have received and would like to download.

- In the File Manager window, if any of the selected files appear in the

Unassigned folder with no file size• listed (or if get a persistent

hourglass icon), go back to the toolbar in the Borrower Summary form.

Open the DocFixer Tool

- In the Documents section of the toolbar, click on the Document Fixer

 button.

- The DocFixer screen should open in the IE browser. Click the Fix my

Docs! button in the middle of the page.

If the tool opens in Chrome, copy the link over to IE and refresh.

You should now see a black popup screen with some quick messages.

Depending on the number of files, the upload process can take some time.

Confirm the Upload and Re-open the Loan File

- Close out of the loan file and re-open it to view the uploaded files.

- Open the File Manager in the eFolder, and look in the Unassigned

folder. You will now see the files with the size populated, and the file

names changed. In this initial version (1.0) of the DocFixer tool, you

can double-click on the filename to re-enter it or rename the file.

- If there is a file that was not fixed (there may be an error in the file),

you will see a description of any unsuccessful uploads. (This should be

 very exceptional.)
